Emerging from Wigan, Stanleys are the next in a long line of illustrious musicians to emerge from the North Western town. Bands and artists ranging from George Formby Senior and Junior to The Verve, Starsailor to The Lathums are proud to call Wigan home, eventually taking their poignant songwriting across the rest of the country and Stanleys are set to follow in their footsteps.

The Tubs were formed by two of the primary songwriters from the critically lauded pop group Joanna Gruesome - Owen Williams & George Nicholls - as a way of expanding the dimensions of their jubilant compositions.

Channelling South Yorkshire grit and a passion for north west guitar music, The Outcharms represent the best of both sides of the Pennines. The band began in Doncaster in 2014, and in 7 years they have worked their way up from support slots to headlining and selling out The Leopard in their hometown twice, as well as the Foundry and the Leadmill in Sheffield.

Crocodiles - a noise pop/indie pop band from San Diego, California, US. The group was formed in 2008 by core members Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell after the break-up of their former punk bands Some Girls and The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower.

Emerging from London’s underground music scene, The Sick Man Of Europe is distinctly monochrome in its outlook. Each note counts in this climate - economical but played with absolute precision and conviction. Propelled forward by machines and seeking solace in repetition. There are echoes of the post-punk and European art rock pioneers at the cusp of the 80s, but re-tooled for the present. The same fears. Looking for answers or something to believe in, but finding more questions in an age of absolutes.

One of the most impressive nu-metal bands to rise above the pack is Stoke-on-Trent’s Black Coast who have blended some of the stylistic qualities of this well-loved genre and added their own energetic spin on it, grabbing a lot of attention in the process. Since hitting the ground running from 2017 onwards with a string of EP releases the band have gone from strength to strength, building up a truck load of momentum ready to come out firing with their debut full-length Outworld. A release which bears a lot of personal sentiments for frontman Charlie Hewitt. “We just wanted to write something for ourselves really and get our own kind of messages out there,” explains Chaz. “Regarding the lyrics, I had a lot I wanted to talk about from a personal standpoint that I’ve always wanted to talk about but I never felt comfortable with speaking about. This music has been a good outlet for me. It was good to just get something down and get it out there.”

Holysseus Fly has spent the past couple of years carving out her own unique path. With a series of standout releases accompanied by striking visuals, she’s established herself as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices. As vocalist, co-writer and pianist in critically acclaimed collective Ishmael Ensemble, Fly is a vital presence in the UK music scene and as a solo artist she pushes further, blending emotion-soaked lyrics with soaring, cinematic choruses.
