Make your mobile phone a portal back to James Hogg’s Edinburgh, and take a journey through the Old Town to experience some of his iconic novel’s most important scenes – exactly where they were set. In an incredible hybrid project crafted by Ben Harrison, co-artistic director of acclaimed experiential theatre company, Grid Iron, you’ll be led through the streets and closes of Edinburgh’s Old Town in this immersive audio-visual journey. Using your mobile phone to guide you, you’ll be able to travel back in time to Hogg’s Edinburgh through listening to commentary written and voiced by Louise Welsh and watching brand new filmed versions of pivotal moments from the novel, exactly where they happened - to an exclusive soundtrack by Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite.
