Green City of writing is a gathering of poets in the Bicycle Shop's cellar. Much like its sister show, “Poets in the Cellar”, it seeks to platform local voices and give them the opportunity to grow as performers and orators. An evening of 9 poets, separated with two breaks, the event will last approximately 2 and a half hours (although can you ever shut up a poet?). The event is hosted by local poet and Green activist, Jenny Knight, who has hosted other events, such as “Poets in the Cellar”, “Poets in the Chapel”, “Queers in the Chapel” and, most recently, “Trans Joy”, bringing 2 years of experience to the role. And with all the tickets proceeds going to the Norwich Green Party you can enjoy a night out in our fine city of writing whilst supporting a good cause.
