Folkestone-based comedian and writer Ribs Norman presents her one-woman show, Mumorial, as part of this year’s Faversham Fringe.
This performance delves into Ribs’s 22-year journey to choose the perfect memorial for her late mother, Sylvia Norman, a cherished teacher and well-known Faversham resident. With a Master’s degree in Funerary Archaeology, Ribs uses her extensive knowledge to tackle the challenges of decision-making, exploring themes of grief and perfectionism with both humour and honesty.
The show features not only heartfelt storytelling but also clowning and plenty of jokes, making for a unique blend of laughter and reflection.
Show summary:
“Making decisions is hard, but surely even a perfectionist like Ribs Norman can choose a memorial 22 years after her mother’s death? A heartfelt exploration of perfectionism, procrastination, and joy.”
Quote from the show:
“Why go for a cliff-top scattering, when you can turn your beloved into a pencil?”
Join Ribs on this poignant journey as she seeks closure and invites the audience to help her make that long-overdue decision.
