About this course:
This course is designed to enable you to evaluate risks to your personal safety and manage those risks when working in potentially violent and/or aggressive situations. The course offers a range of strategies to protect your personal safety while at work. This course will also equip you to understand, control and manage challenging situations and build your confidence in diffusing a situation.
The importance of personal safety training:
Giving proper attention to personal safety concerns can protect individuals from injury and illness and provide a sense of increased peace and comfort in any situation and environment.

This course is suitable for any member of staff who works in a frontline role.

The course will cover:
Boundary setting
What personal safety and violence/aggression is
The personal safety hazards you may face as a frontline member of staff
The control measures and other arrangements that can be put in place to manage personal safety risks
The behaviour cycle
Diffusion techniques to support you when dealing with potentially violent or aggressive situations.

Please note that this is NOT a self-defence course.
This course is free of charge, and if you wish to cancel, we require five working days' notice, otherwise there will be a cancellation fee of £50 to your department.
