Maer cyn Delynores Frenhinol Swyddogol, Alis Huws, yn unawdydd ac yn gerddor cerddorfaol a siambr llawrydd. Mae hi'n perfformion rheolaidd ar draws y DU ac yn rhyngwladol, ac mae hi wedi teithio i Japan, Ewrop, yr Unol Daleithiau, Hong Kong a'r Dwyrain Canol. Mae hi'n artist recordio Decca Classics arbennig, a bydd ei EP cyntaf yn cael ei rhyddhau yn ddiweddarach eleni.
Y llynedd, cafodd Alis y fraint o berfformio yn seremoni goroni Ei Fawrhydir Brenin Siarl III yn Abaty Westminster. Perfformiodd drefniant Syr Karl Jenkins o Dros y Garreg ar gyfer telyn unigol a llinynnau, ac roedd hi hefyd yn rhan o Gerddorfa fawreddog y Coroni, a ffurfiwyd yn arbennig ar gyfer yr achlysur. Mae ei pherfformiadau nodedig eraill yn cynnwys Gwasanaeth Cenedlaethol Cymru i gofio EM Elisabeth II ac Agoriad Brenhinol y Senedd yn 2016 a 2021. Yn ogystal, mae ei gwaith wedi cael ei ddarlledu ar BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru a holl brif sianeli teledu'r DU.
Mae Alis yn angerddol am allgymorth ac am ddod cherddoriaeth i gymunedau, gan roi cyngherddau rhyngweithiol rheolaidd i bobl sy'n byw gyda dementia yn ogystal gweithio gyda phlant ag anghenion ychwanegol. Yn ddiweddar, teithiodd o gwmpas 30 o ysgolion cynradd ledled cefn gwlad Powys i ddathlu 30 mlynedd o waith Live Music Now yng Nghymru.
Fe wnaeth Alis, a enwyd ar restr Classic FM o 30 Seren Ddisglair Dan 30 Oed yn 2024, gwblhau ei graddau Baglor a Meistr yng Ngholeg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru, lle dyfarnwyd iddi Wobr Cerddoriaeth Midori Matsui, Gwobr Delyn y Ffiwsilwyr Brenhinol Cymreig, Gwobr Cerddoriaeth Siambr McGrennery a Gwobr y Parch. Paul Bigmore ar gyfer Cerddoriaeth yn y Gymuned. Fe'i gwnaed yn Gydymaith Anrhydeddus yno yn 2022.
Former Official Royal Harpist, Alis Huws is a freelance soloist, orchestral and chamber musician. She regularly gives recitals across the UK and internationally, having toured to Japan, Europe, the US, Hong Kong and the Middle East. She is an exclusive Decca Classics recording artist, and her first EP will be released later this year.
Last year, Alis was privileged to perform at His Majesty King Charles IIIs Coronation at Westminster Abbey. She performed Sir Karl Jenkins arrangement of Tros y Garreg (Crossing the Stone) for solo harp and strings, as well as being a part of the prestigious Coronation Orchestra, formed specially for the occasion. Other high-profile engagements include the Welsh National Service of Prayer and Reflection for HM Queen Elizabeth II, and the Royal Opening of the Senedd 2016 and 2021. Alis is passionate about outreach and bringing music into communities, giving regular interactive concerts for people living with dementia as well as working with children with additional needs. She recently embarked on a tour of 30 primary schools across rural Powys to celebrate 30 years of Live Music Nows work in Wales.
Named on Classic FMs 30 under 30 Rising Stars list for 2024, Alis completed both her Bachelor and Masters degrees at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she was awarded the Midori Matsui Prize for Music, the Royal Welch Fusiliers Harp Prize, the McGrennery Chamber Music Prize, and the Rev. Paul Bigmore Music in the Community Award. She was made an Honorary Associate there in 2022 (ARWCMD).

Maer rhaglen hon o gyngherddau hygyrch, anffurfiol yn rhoi proffil i lawer o gerddorion sefydledig ac adnabyddus, tra hefyd yn cefnogi artisitiad newydd o bob rhan o Gymru, y DU ac Ewrop. Bydd y datganiadau awr o hyd yma yn cael eu cynnal yng nghanol y ddinas yn Eglwys Dewi Sant, Cilgant San Andreas, ar ddydd Mawrth cyntaf o bob mis.

These short 1hr recitals will take place in the city centre at Eglwys Dewi Sant Church, St Andrews Crescent on the first Tuesday of every month. They are accessible, relaxing, informal and a perfect introduction for anyone new to the classical music scene or for those who are passionate enthusiasts of classical music. Either way, you can pop along and enjoy these during a lunchtime break, make an afternoon of it with friends or family, or simply come along yourself and enjoy!
