To celebrate the opening of Live Theatre's World Premiere Production Champion they are thrilled to host a special in conversation event with legendary North East boxer Glenn McCrory.

County Durham born McCrory is a former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 1993. He held the IBF, British and Commonwealth Cruiserweight titles.

Known as the voice of boxing he commentated on Sky Sports for three decades.

Join him in conversation with North East actor Micky Cochrane (most recently on our stage in Blitzen On The Tyne) due to perform as Glenn in his remarkable true story Carrying David at the Theatre Royal in June 2025. Glenn will chat about his experience as a boxer and his inspirational story including his meeting with Muhammad Ali!
