A night of electronic music from some of Scotland's best self producing women artists.
SHEARS writes, records, produces & mixes electronic music at home in Leith, Edinburgh. Hailed as a Next Wave artist by Clash Magazine, her 2024 EP Now Were Getting Somewhere garnered extensive press support across the UK and Europe and playlist support from Spotify.
SHEARS impressive live shows are a one-woman solo set-up, incorporating samples, percussion, synths and effects, along with live vocals. SHEARS is also part of Glasgow's female and non-binary songwriting collective, Hen Hoose, and produces and remixes for various artists. Following features and performances on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing in Scotland, and CBBC, SHEARS is now working on her debut album, due in 2025.
Penny Black is an electronic, alternative pop artist who recently signed to Warner Music Publishing. Her debut album Clockwise is due to be released later this year.
Valensteïn: Nostalgic bedroom pop for millennials.
