Guts of Hamble!

There are plenty of guts on display in Hambles varied and sometimes distinctly dodgy history. Not only the substantial helpings of fish, shellfish and beef consumed and exported in vast quantities and not just by the ordinary entourage of sea faring folk, but the more cut and thrust lives of local smugglers, customs men and reformed Pirates - we will even figuratively meet a real Captain Mainwaring!
History has also put Hamble on the front lines of major national struggles, from Henry VIII (and earlier) to the construction and assembly of boats and landing craft for D-Day and a 'friendly invasion' by the US Army - Ladies, watch yourselves!
Guts of another kind would be needed to cross the paths of other less welcome visitors, as Hambles attraction for East End gangsters is explored.
If all this is too stressful, then perhaps an appreciation of Hambles boozy by-ways could help - after the walk, of course!
Let the Bugle call you to Victory for the King and Queen, as you chase Ye Olde Whyte Harte to finish off.
