OUSinf presents: From Dawn Until Dusk: Beethoven and Musgrave

Oxford University Sinfonietta (OUSinf) is the premier chamber orchestra of Oxford University and has recently joined with OUO - the flagship symphony orchestra - in an exciting co-organisation. The two orchestras share the very best instrumentalists that the university has to offer and OUSinf also selects its conductor from the student body in a very competitive process. Louis Benneyworth was chosen to direct the orchestra for the 2025-26 term.
The Oxford University Sinfonietta presents a beautifully varied programme for its Trinity Term 2025 concert. The evening begins by showcasing the universitys compositional talent with the winner of this years student composition competition before Scottish composer Thea Musgraves The Seasons , inspired by the paintings of artists, from Piero di Cosimo to Picaso. The second half takes us into the countryside for Beethovens Symphony No. 6 , his Pastoral Symphony. Be sure not to miss this thrilling evening of chamber orchestra repertoire at 8:00PM on Friday the 6th of June at Christ Church Cathedral.
