Winners announced for BAFTA Scotland Awards 2024
Ashley Storrie, David Tennant and Out Of Darkness among the night's big winners

The winners of this year’s BAFTA Scotland Awards have been announced at a special ceremony in Glasgow hosted by Edith Bowman.
Andrew Cumming's horror film Out Of Darkness picked up three awards, for Feature Film, Actress Film (Safia Oakley-Green) and Actor Film (Kit Young); playwright Stef Smith's romantic micro-drama Float won the award for Television Scripted; and Ashley Storrie won two awards for TV series Dinosaur, in which she plays a young autistic woman: the Audience Award, and Writer Film/Television together with co-creator Matilda Curtis. Accepting the latter, Storrie ended her speech with an emotional tribute to her late mum, Janey Godley.
David Tennant capped a busy year with with an award for Actor Television for Shaun Pye's comedy drama There She Goes; and Doon Mackichan won Actress Television for her return to long-running comedy series Two Doors Down.
For his work on TV sensation Slow Horses, Saul Metzstein won Director Fiction; and documentarian Kevin Macdonald won Director Factual for High & Low – John Galliano, a film about the controversial fashion designer.

Other winners on the night were The Agency: Unfiltered which picked up the award for Entertainment; Extraordinary Escapes With Sandi Toksvig (Features); Blackwool (Short Film & Animation); Not Your Average Family (Factual Series); Liar: The Fake Grooming Scandal (Single Documentary); Catching A Killer: The Murder Of Emma Caldwell (News and Current Affairs); Lynda Myles (Outstanding Contribution to Film); Des Hamilton (Outstanding Contribution to Craft); and Hazel Irvine (Outstanding Contribution to Television).
Highlights of the event will be screened on BBC Scotland and BBC One Scotland on Wednesday 20 November, and available on iPlayer.
