Arooj Aftab announces UK tour dates for 2026

Arooj Aftab, the Grammy Award-winning songwriter, has announced a tour of the UK, with dates in Edinburgh, London and Liverpool included in the run. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 13 February. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of Aftab’s gigs.

Perhaps best known for her last album Night Reign, which enjoyed critical praise and myriad awards, Aftab has become highly feted for her combination of Pakistani folk with jazz, fairy-tale like segues and minimalism.

We discussed Night Reign in our Listen Back series, writing: ‘Its epic knottiness isn’t afraid to melt into a slinky Pakistani folk on “Autumn Leaves” or “Last Night Reprise”, communicating an ineluctable landscape of woozy majesty. You’d never guess as this is one of the most confident releases of the past few years.’ Read the full article here

Starting at Liverpool Philharmonic on Monday 15 June, Aftab will then visit Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 16 June, Poole’s Lighthouse on Thursday 18 June, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on Saturday 20 June, Bristol’s Beacon on Sunday 21 June, Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Monday 22 June, and Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on Wednesday 24 June.
