Details announced for Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show
This year’s ambitious student-led charity show will showcase new trends from emerging designers
The Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show has teased details of its event taking place at Ps & Gs Church on Friday 27 March. Tickets for the show will go on sale at 6pm on Thursday 5 February, with all proceeds going to Capability Scotland, a charity that has worked for more than 75 years to support disabled children and adults across Scotland through care, education and essential services.
This year’s show theme is ‘Synaesthesia’, which aims for a total embrace of the senses by combining fashion with sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. According to a press release, the show will also harness the power of ‘the imagined’, inviting guests to explore their own creativity and perceptions.
The show’s production director, Soléne Ferreira, told us: ‘From the very start, our focus for this year’s show has been on how fashion can be experienced beyond the visual. With “Synaesthesia”, we’re experimenting with space, sound and movement to create a show that’s meant to be felt as much as it is seen.’
