I’m excited to see Beyond Tradition at EIF: an electrifying trio of intercultural women, bringing together Yasamin Shahhosseini on oud, Farah Kaddour on buzuq and Senny Camara on kora. I love seeing exceptional female instrumentalists taking centre stage, particularly on instruments that have historically been dominated by men. It’s exactly the kind of bold, cross-cultural collaboration that inspires my work with Routes To Roots and I can’t wait to hear these three musicians together.
