Young Fathers announce Heavy Heavy tour of the UK for autumn 2023: how to get tickets
The band will visit Brighton, London, Glasgow and more this October

Young Fathers have announced a handful of tour dates for October 2023. Ticket for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 4 August.
The tour will come in support of the band’s latest album Heavy Heavy, which released in February to critical acclaim and was placed on this year’s Mercury Prize shortlist alongside acts like Jockstrap, RAYE, Fred again.., Arctic Monkeys and Jessie Ware.
Starting on Friday 20 October at Brighton Dome, the tour will then take the band to London’s Eventim Apollo on Saturday 21 October, Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on Saturday 21 and Monday 23 October, Birmingham’s O2 Institute on Friday 27 October, and Manchester Academy on Saturday 28 October.
Speaking about the record in February, Alloysius Massaquoi told us, ‘Heavy Heavy has been a long-ass process. It’s taken fucking ages. This is one we’ve recorded and produced ourselves, just us three in the studio. We took time away from each other as well, and we got older, more reflective. The mundane nuts and bolts of life have started to matter more. It’s been long but it’s good to arrive at a finished record.’ Read the full interview here and read our five-star review of the album here.
