This month: Hayley Ellis is a comedian at the top of her game right now, having recently won the Best MC award at this year's Comic's Comic Awards. Much in demand on the national club circuit, she's also been a regular contributor to Russell Howard's Good News and a writer for 8 out of 10 Cats. She has appeared on MTV's Why aye love Geordie Shore and can also sometimes be heard on Absolute Radio and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack on BBC Radio 4. Somehow, in between all that, she's also found the time to appear as tour support for Sarah Millican and Jason Manford. Live stand-up comedy in Stockport! This month with: Kevin Gildea began his comedy career in the sketch group Mr Trellis, with Barry Murphy and Ardal O' Hanlon. Together they co-founded The Comedy Cellar, Dublin's longest-running comedy club. Kevin appeared in Father Ted (playing Father Cave in the episode set on a plane), the BBC2 sketch show Haywire and is a regular on RTE's topical panel game The View. A seasoned stand-up comic, Kevin has played to audiences across the globe, from Singapore to Sligo, and is always a favourite when he comes to Stockport. Highly original and explosively funny The Sunday Times He's one of the most daring and committed comedians at work right now. Brave, unafraid and compelling..and very, very funny. Tommy Tiernan Comedy on another level. The Irish Times Dawn Bailey is a forty something (ahem just turned 50) Mum who views life through happy specs and giddy knickers (her own words).
