Bramwell’s first studio output appeared in 1989, when he was performing and recording as Johnny Dangerously and entitled You Me & The Alarm Clock, an album The Guardian referred to as one of the ‘greatest albums you’ve never heard.’ Following a stint as a television presenter and as a member of the band, The Mouth, Bramwell formed I Am Kloot, with two members of The Mouth. They went on to record six studio albums, including the Mercury-Prize nominated album, Sky At Night. Since 2016, Bramwell has reverted to being a solo artist and tours continuously, around the UK and Europe. A home-recorded solo album, Leave Alone the Empty Spaces appeared in 2018 and the follow-up, a more expansive affair, with a working title of The Light Fantastic, is now scheduled for release in 2022.

Along the way her hair decided the best thing to do was abandon ship. It ain’t easy being a middle aged woman: try doing it with a combover. Thankfully Zoe has been able to explore the funny side of all these twists and turns. It's time to sell the silly car and try and put the wheels back on her life. Zoe is the host of BBC2’s Lightning. She's known as a star of Live at the Apollo and a regular on Have I Got News for You (BBC1), QI (BBC2), and Mock the Week (BBC2). Honeyglaze

Honeyglaze

22 May 2025 - 22 May 2025

In their own words: “Hi we are Honeyglaze, and there’s no time to explain." Honeyglaze are South London based, haiku-loving trio comprised of vocalist and guitarist Anouska Sokolow, bassist Tim Curtis, and Yuri Shibuichi on drums. Born out of lead songwriter Sokolow’s un-desire to be a solo-act, the group met officially at their first ever rehearsal- just three days ahead of what was to become a near-residency, at their favoured ‘The Windmill’, Brixton. Forming a mere five-months ahead of a subsequent five-months of mandatory solitude, a parallel that’s both aligned and universally un-timely, Honeyglaze, at first appearance, are a group who play with chance, time, and synergetic fate, in a manner few others are able to do. Pricking the ears of seminal producer Dan Carey and his team of merry taste-makers: Speedy Wunderground (Tiña, Squid, Black Country New Road), initial brainstorms saw the Speedy Wunderground / Honeyglaze partnership manifest into a dynamic that, quite simply, just worked despite having never met before. The resulting body of work that was spawned of this instant chemistry is an album that tackles themes varying from jealousy to inadequacy, cushion-y companionships to the smell of coffee on clothes, as with all good reflections of self, Honeyglaze is a fly on the wall opportunity to get to know three familial strangers in your own way- whilst they too suss out themselves, and the ever-growing circle around them, in the span of 35 minutes.

The Hard Quartet, through its very existence and onward via its dedication to electrified reels, hymns, paeans, and rave-ups, is mathematical, empirical proof that human beings slashing at strings, pounding at skins, and opening their mouths to intone tuneful, mythic messages is here to stay. It will never die; well dig it to the end.

Bill Callahan

Bill Callahan

2 Jul 2025 - 8 Jul 2025

Building on the lo-fi, sparse aesthetic of his early work as Smog toward the lush instrumentation and masterly command of structure (and beautiful production) evidenced on his latest records, Bill Callahan has released consistently excellent albums for two decades. He can safely be spoken of as one of America’s great songwriters. His songs have been covered by Gil Scott Heron, Cat Power and the Flaming Lips, and featured in films such as 'High Fidelity'. Emotive and beautifully arranged, 2009’s “Sometimes I wish we were an Eagle” is a great gateway to Bill. It’s fair to say that the snare sound here is exquisite! Before starting to release music under his own name in 2007, Bill Callahan recorded as Smog. Sample lyric: “My foolish heart had to go diving… diving, diving into the murk”… Support comes from Cath and Phil Tyler Cath & Phil Tyler play Anglo-American folk music using guitar, banjo, voice and fiddle. Cath was a member of the band Cordelia’s Dad in the 1990s when she lived in Massachusetts, USA. Phil, from Newcastle upon Tyne has played in various folk, rock and ceilidh bands for many years. Coming together musically through a shared love of traditional narrative song, full voiced sacred harp singing and sparse mountain banjo, they have performed on stages great and small, from the Royal Opera House in London to the Morden Tower in the old city walls of Newcastle.

Christopher Owens

Christopher Owens

2 Sept 2025 - 6 Sept 2025

Not long after the release of Girls’ second album Father, Son, Holy Ghost, singer and frontman Christopher Owens announced that he was leaving the formative indie duo in pursuit of a solo career. Following the solo releases of 2011's Lysandre, 2014's A New Testament, and 2015's Chrissybaby Forever, he eventually went on to release more music in 2017 with Curls. Since then, he's continued to lead a life marked by both extraordinary highs and profound lows.

In 2024, he left a bittersweet San Francisco and moved to New York, also reuniting with home label True Panther Records (who released the original Girls records). On October 18, 2024, he released his fourth solo album, 'I Wanna Run Barefoot Through Your Hair', a record "about a journey back to the center of myself." The album captures both the low depths of life as well as the celebration of its highs, underscoring Owens’ enduring influence as a songwriter, his renewed sense of purpose, and making it his "most careful and deliberate solo album" (Pitchfork). Presented by Form. This is a 16+ event.

Mclusky W/ Dartz & KlÄmp

29 May 2025 - 29 May 2025

We are very excited to announce that Mclusky is back with a headline show 29th May 2025. Support TBA! Mclusky are a band of three Don't worry, that's not a riddle Or maybe it is? Who can say Imagine why they'd be doing shows now (or then) OR simply rearrange the following letters: Nwe albmu Plus special guests DARTZ and KLÄMP! Mclusky were a band between 1999 and 2005, in which time they made a few friends and three albums. Slow-forward 16 years and, thanks to the uncanny pull of nostalgia and gravity, they have made more friends but no more albums. Originally persuaded to reform - like ham - to help save a local music venue and for other vaguely charitable reasons, Mclusky is the band but with Damien Sayell of The St. Pierre Snake Invasion playing bass and singing and is loads better (technical term) than it used to be, nostalgia be twatted directly in the eye. There is one quiet song, at the start, then the rest is just soup. Presented by Club Mammoth 16+ event. (16-17 with a responsible adult 18+,1:1)

Allo Darlin'

Allo Darlin'

7 Oct 2025 - 11 Oct 2025

Allo Darlin' were formed in 2008 after Australian Elizabeth Morris arrived in London and bought a ukulele from the Duke of Uke shop in Shoreditch. Like a whole host of Australian musicians before her, Morris had headed to London to realise her musical ambitions, a young woman with the small instrument in the big city with even bigger ideas. Once there happenstance, chance encounters and a Bruce Springsteen cover for a compilation would all conspire to create the crack squad that has endured, Morris being joined by fellow Brisbanite Bill Botting and the British duo of Michael Collins and Paul Rains. From its first line ('Will you go out with me tonight, lose it on a disco floor?'), the self-titled debut the foursome released in 2010 fizzed with the effervescent, intoxicating energy and excitement of the opportunities and experiences it offered. From frosty night buses through to fiscal inadequacy and everything in between, it was an album which presented the city as a blank canvas where everything was fair game for romanticising and celebrating, and a world where most of life's tribulations could be solved with the warm embrace of a loved one. Fresh, bright and unashamedly hopeful and idealistic, blissful exuberance ran through it like the sound of a band in love with being in a band.
Frizzi 2 Fulci

Frizzi 2 Fulci

29 Oct 2025 - 29 Oct 2025

Baba Yaga's Hut Presents: Frizzi 2 Fulci 29th of October 2025 - Earth Theatre - 7.30pm Fabio Frizzi (with full band) performing his score to Lucio Fulci's The Beyond live to a screening of the film at the beautiful Earth Theatre. Composer, orchestrator and conductor, Fabio Frizzi, with over one hundred soundtracks between cinema and television series, winner of numerous awards, has followed in the footsteps of the masters of Italian cinema. A great lover of cinema, he combined his innate musicality with the seventh art from a young age. In love with Baroque and Johann Sebastian Bach, inspired by the works of Nino Rota, Carlo Rustichelli, Ennio Morricone, but also by the great international composers, he made his decision to undertake this career after having witnessed, thanks to Sergio Leone, the recording of the soundtrack of "Giù la testa". He studied piano and many other instruments, but the great companion of a lifetime is the classical guitar. In addition to composing for the movie industry, he signed the music of many TV series and variety shows for the Italian television. He writes a lot for the theatre and considers the creation of his numerous ballets a feather in his cap. The beginning of his career was marked by the success of an iconic comedy of Italian cinema, FANTOZZI. Immediately afterwards he formed a composition trio with Franco Bixio and Vince Tempera: together they carried out a great activity from 1976 to 1979. In 1979 this collaboration ended and his life as an independent composer began. He worked alongside famous Italian directors, Luciano Salce, Steno, Vittorio Sindoni, Tonino Valerii, Gabriele Lavia, Bruno Corbucci, Carlo and Enrico Vanzina. A special mention deserves the collaboration with the director Lucio Fulci, which lasted from 1975 to 1990, a real fil rouge of Frizzi's career, which gave him an international visibility and appreciation among the lovers of genre cinema. "THE BEYOND", "CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD", "THE FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE", "SEVEN NOTES IN BLACK", "SILVER SADDLE". "ZOMBI 2", "MANHATTAN BABY", "UN GATTO NEL CERVELLO" are the most popular titles. In 2003 Quentin Tarantino, a great fan of Lucio Fulci's cinema, wanted to include in the soundtrack of "KILL BILL: VOL 1" the main theme of "SEVEN NOTES IN BLACK". Since 2008 he has had many international collaborations, writing music for successful short films. Since 2013 he has been working with some independent US productions involved in the horror industry. In 2018, for the Cinestate of Dallas Sonnier and Fangoria he created the soundtrack for "PUPPET MASTER THE LITTLEST REICH". At the end of 2020 the same production released another horror genre classic remake, CASTLE FREAK scored by Frizzi. Since 2013 Frizzi has been travelling the world with its 3 shows that attract many fans almost everywhere: Europe, North America, Middle East... "FRIZZI 2 FULCI" a tribute to the director Lucio Fulci, "THE BEYOND COMPOSER'S CUT", the screening of one of his cult movies with the live performance of the soundtrack and "FABIO FRIZZI - REWIND" an autobiographical show of music and anecdotes. His autobiography, "FABIO FRIZZI - Backstage di un compositore" has just been released in Italy.

The Dear Hunter

The Dear Hunter

20 Sept 2025 - 24 Sept 2025

Deadpunk Promotions Presents: The Dear Hunter It’s been almost a decade since Casey Crescenzo brought The Dear Hunter – both the band and the character of the same name – to life with his 2006 debut full-length, Act I: The Lake South, The River North. Although it was evident from his stint as singer of The Receiving End Of Sirens, the record revealed Crescenzo’s incredibly inventive and ambitious musical flair, something which has been evolving ever since. The two albums which followed – 2007’s Act II: The Meaning Of, And All Things Regarding Ms. Leading and 2009’s Act III: Life And Death – cemented the now 32 year-old as a maverick, idiosyncratic talent whose music, while fitting a modern aesthetic, was also from a bygone era. Anachronistic and timeless in equal measure, the narrative of The Dear Hunter existed in both the past and the present, its detailed plot standing simultaneously as an age-old and new age fable. As that tale progressed, so did Crescenzo’s art, his experimental compositions blurring the line between different genres to create a sound that was – and still is – unique to the band.
