The Dear Hunter

The Dear Hunter

18 Sept 2026 - 23 Sept 2026

Anachronistic and timeless in equal measure, the narrative of The Dear Hunter existed in both the past and the present, its detailed plot standing simultaneously as an age-old and new age fable. As that tale progressed, so did Crescenzo’s art, his experimental compositions blurring the line between different genres to create a sound that was – and still is – unique to the band.

Ishmael Ensemble With Rituals Orchestra
This event will take place in EartH Theatre. Ishmael Ensemble returns to London in May 2026 for a special one-off performance at EartH, Hackney, joined by The Rituals Orchestra and a host of guest vocalists. Following the acclaimed release of their 2024 album Rituals and an extensive tour across the UK, Europe & Australia, bandleader Pete Cunningham expands on the ideas first explored in the recording studio. For the album sessions, Cunningham assembled a unique combination of harp, string & horn players to create lush, cinematic textures; now brought to life on stage alongside guest vocalists, the forming of The Rituals Orchestra has offered an opportunity to re-interpret music from the entire Ishmael Ensemble back catalogue in a new and exciting way. Earlier this year, Cunningham unveiled the expanded live project with a performance captured at Bristol’s iconic Mouth Without venue. Released as a short film on YouTube, the collaboration was met with widespread praise, showcasing Ishmael Ensemble at their most ambitious. The project made its live debut at Forwards Festival in Bristol, where it captivated festivalgoers and sparked calls from fans for more opportunities to experience this unique performance. Responding to that demand, Ishmael Ensemble has announced a one-off headline show in London, offering audiences a chance to witness the full force of The Rituals Orchestra in an intimate setting. This event will take place in EartH Theatre. Ismael Serrano finally arrives in London, Dublin, Berlin, and Brussels with a very intimate and special show: just guitar and voice. A journey through his greatest hits and a preview of his new songs. Pieces that invite us to live in the present with intensity and to seek the poetry found in everyday life. Malibu

Malibu

24 Apr 2026 - 24 Apr 2026

This event will take place in EartH Theatre. Malibu is a French composer and vocalist whose art is bound to meditation. A musician by trade but an allegorist in practice, her compositions exist as fragments of an imagination as wide as the sea and as open as the sky above it. Loose threads of drone, neoclassical, dance, and pop are woven within contexts of introspection and evanescence. Between these threads is a sonic lexicon entirely her own. Muted pianos and soaring woodwinds sit atop deep, dense waves of strings and pads. Her vocals, a cast of whispers, shift from intimate spoken word passages, long vocalized breaths, and gasps that feel like instruments in their own right. What culminates is a sanctuary for romantic musings on cities, seas, and the self to take place comfortably-ephemerally so, but everlasting all the same. Malibu's artistry encompasses an unparalleled live performance, featuring a seamless blend of tracks meant to induce a state of euphoria and entrancement, enhanced by attentive lighting cues and sound dynamics. This live acumen has earned her spots at festivals such as Atonal and C2C, and as the opening act for frequent collaborator Oklou’s Choke Enough tour. The philosophy of her live performances extends to her acclaimed NTS radio show United in Flames, where she and a cast of guests (including Evian Christ, Casey MQ, Stella Explorer) bring meaningful thought and reason to an otherwise purely curatorial offering. A cinematic artist by nature, she is also a well-versed composer for film, notably scoring 2024’s La Fille Qui Explose (The Exploding Girl), which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival. \- Written by Billie Bugara For more information on access at EartH, please see our FAQs here: https://bit.ly/44dzl75 or contact us at [email protected] EartH is a social enterprise committed to supporting new musicians, with music studios in the venue that are completely free for young artists to use. Joshua Burnside

Joshua Burnside

6 May 2026 - 20 Jun 2026

Northern Irish experimental folk songwriter and producer Joshua Burnside is something of a regional anomaly. With a brooding, powerful sound echoing artists of places afar and time long gone, his enthralling craft defies local comparison in striving towards an aesthetic as much as visual as it is sonic. Balanced with a diverse palette of sounds, Burnside deftly blends alt-folk and elements of the Irish folk song tradition with South American rhythms and Eastern European influences, whilst introducing synthetic and found-sounds, synths loops and crunching beats to create a stormy world that shifts and swirls perspective like a lingering lucid dream.

Since 2020, the Rengin Women’s Choir, which has carried out significant work both in the field of music and in strengthening women’s solidarity, is now preparing for a major concert with Feryal Öney, themed “The Fraternity of Peoples and the Colours of Folk Songs.” Feryal Öney began her musical journey during her university years, and since then she has continued to perform with Kardeş Türküler, one of Turkey’s most important music ensembles. In this journey that brings together the melodies of different peoples, she has reached a wide audience with her powerful voice. Known also for her projects that highlight women’s voices and stories, Öney always creates unforgettable moments for her audience with her emotional and energetic performances. The Rengin Women’s Choir previously brought 100 women to the stage at the “Sahne Kadınların” (Women Take the Stage) event held at Dominion Center in 2023, delivering an unforgettable musical celebration. Their powerful performance at the earthquake solidarity concert held at Alexandra Palace in 2022 also left a lasting impression. This time, the choir is preparing a special surprise for the audience: together with a Folk Dance Ensemble, they will present dance performances from various nations, adding colour to the stage and reflecting the brotherhood of peoples on an even broader scale. My New Band Believe

2 May 2026 - 2 May 2026

My New Band Believe, led by Cameron Picton, bassist and sometime frontman of black midi, with whom he practiced an explosive form of musical world-building, weaving complex storytelling through thrilling passages of controlled chaos. The moniker serves as an open invitation, a subtle nod to listeners willing to meet the music on its own terms, to reap the rewards of taking a flying leap into the dark. Picton leads his band so that each track forms, scatters and re-groups, the uplift of one song crashing head-long into the rush of another. Inspired by Bert Jansch’s hypnotic, hard-driving guitar, Judee Sill’s panoramic pop, and the terrifying possibility of dance music, My New Band Believe is both all-encompassing and constantly in flux. Gia Margaret

Gia Margaret

7 Sept 2026 - 10 Sept 2026

Every artist has to discover their voice. Gia Margaret didn’t find herself until she lost hers. With a vocal inju ry that kept her from singing for years, she developed other musical languages, mastering the grammar of an intricate, homey form of ambient music pioneered by Ernest Hood and perfected by The Books. Now, her physical voice healed and her artistic voice ho ned, she comes full circle with Singing, her first vocal album since 2018’s There’s Always Glimmer. Led by soft piano lines that fall like breath on glass, the music on Singing evidences the same jeweler’s sensitivity to detail that she developed in her silence. “There was a time when I really didn’t know if I would sing again. So once I healed, there was a lot of internal pressure to come back strong,” Margaret says. “I didn’t know who I was anymore. So it felt like beginning again, and reconnecting with these very old, old parts of myself.” This feeling of intermixed alienation and rediscovery is palpable across the album. In opener “Everyone Around Me Dancing,” she watches a party from the wings, aware of how her body keeps her from communal joy while al so providing new modes of self- knowledge. Shut out from the scene, she is “closer to the ground, the planet.” In “Alive Inside,” she’s so far away from the source that she’s praying to whoever might hear (“a god, a friend that’s gone, a spirit”). As her voice rises, it seems to be trapped in a web of distortion; it’s as if in her pursuit, she’s pushing at the very boundaries of what can be said. The process of making Singing was one of learning how to trust each of those feelings. The album was partially recorded in London with Frou Frou’s Guy Sigsworth, who helped Margaret unify the spree of ideas she had for “Good Friend,” an album highlight that includes Gregorian chant by ILĀ and turntable scratches, among many other things. David Bazan and Amy Millan also make appearances, as do Kurt Vile and Sean Carey, while Margaret’s longtime collaborator Doug Saltzman plays on and co-produces much of the record. Deb Talan, previously of The Weepies, lends her voice, piano, and guitar to the album's closing- and definitive-statement, "E-Motion." Gia Margaret is always singing. Every note of this album sings a warm requiem to her past selves; every layer sings her future self into being. Across the album, she applies the lessons of speechlessness-the quasirational ways we communicate without communicating, the way formless sound can cut to the heart of things like a scalpel- to her own artistic voice. Skullcrusher

Skullcrusher

16 Jun 2026 - 16 Jun 2026

This event will take place in EartH Theatre. And Your Song is Like a Circle, the second album from New York-based artist Skullcrusher, a.k.a. Helen Ballentine, winds its way into an everchanging, unstable core. Recorded piecemeal over a period of years following the release of her celebrated 2022 debut, Quiet the Room, And Your Song is Like a Circle does not capture experience - it gestures toward the imprint of an experience that is uncapturable. Swaying between vaporous folk and crystalline electronics, landing somewhere in the snowfields shared by Grouper and Julia Holter, Circle probes the ways that grief turns itself inside out. Loss itself becomes as real and substantial as what's been lost. Ballentine began writing Circle after leaving Los Angeles, a city she’d called home for nearly a decade. She ended up returning upstate to New York’s Hudson Valley, where she was bornand raised. Several years of intense isolation followed, and Ballentine immersed herself in films, books, and art that reflected the rupture of relocating cross-country and its dissociative aftershocks. Throughout the record, the line between human and machine blurs. On "Maelstrom," voices crash between echoing drumbeats like water through a cavern. The vocal filigrees on "Exhale" fan out into a haze of synthesizers and strings. "Dragon" lets piano echo over tight, gritted percussion. If Skullcrusher’s first album rendered the detailed intimacies of domestic space, Circle finds itself vaporized across the landscape: swirling, drifting, searching. It skirts an event horizon in long, slow strokes. These are songs that vibrate with the fervency of an attempt to capture a moment, to draw a circle around it. "I like thinking about my work as a collection," Ballentine says. "Eventually it might form a circle. Each time I make something, I’m putting another line around the body of work. It feels like I’ll be trying to trace it for my whole life." Prior to music success, Robert was once a skilled carpenter and is an army veteran. Having overcome life challenges such as divorce and an automobile accident, it wasn't until losing his sight that his life perspective changed, forcing him to retire from carpentry and instead finally pursing his long-delayed music career. Collaborating with producer and frontman Dan Auberbach of The Black Keys, Finley's new album Black Bayou, produced under the Easy Eye Sound Studio, reflects stories of struggle and celebration. Embodying a raw Louisiana storyteller showcasing the impact the South has had on the worlds music, catch him November for an authentic performance of karmic rock and bubbling blues.
Jordana

Jordana

1 Jun 2026 - 5 Jun 2026

At 21, Jordana is already a wildly accomplished DIY producer — she co-produced her new album Face The Wall and played every single instrument on the record, a remarkable feat of auteurship. Dealing with faith, sexuality and self-discovery, it’s a heady document of self-determination. Face The Wall is a remarkably assured statement from a 21-year-old artist. There are plenty of similar artists in her lane, all with equally stylized aesthetics and approachable auras, but Jordana doesn’t need any of the relatability tactics that some of her fellow pop stars do. She knows she doesn’t have to grab you to get your attention, she doesn’t need to rehash a sound from 10 or 20 years ago, and her confessional songwriting doesn’t need to be overwhelmingly sad to be poignant. All she has to do is sing and play guitar, and the music is just irresistible. When Jordana first arrived, it was her bedroom pop chops that made her an artist of note. Crafting songs through GarageBand that showed the talent that stretched the four walls of her room, the potential was scary. On ‘Face The Wall’, that promise is fulfilled, and then some. This is an 18+ event (Photo I.D required) .
Jerron Paxton

Jerron Paxton

12 May 2026 - 21 May 2026

Although still in his 20s, Jerron Paxton has earned a reputation for transporting audiences back to the 1920's and making them wish they could stay there for good. Paxton may be one of the greatest multi-instrumentalists that you have not heard of. Yet. And time is getting short, fast. This young musician sings and plays banjo, guitar, piano, fiddle, harmonica, Cajun accordion, and the bones (percussion). Paxton has an eerie ability to transform traditional jazz, blues, folk, and country into the here and now, and make it real. In addition, he mesmerizes audiences with his humour and storytelling. He's a world-class talent and a uniquely colourful character that has been on the cover of Living Blues Magazine and the Village Voice, and has been interviewed on Fox News. Paxton's sound is influenced by the likes of Fats Waller and "Blind" Lemon Jefferson.

Geejay

Soulful and emotionally charged vocals meld perfectly on top of vintage jazzy chords and groovy rhythms. With two EP releases under their belt, GeeJay have garnered widespread critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, Fearne Cotton (BBC Radio 2), BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Jack Saunders, and CLASH to name but a few. After the birth of their child in July 2023, the pair took to the studio to finish their debut album 'What's the Sun Without the Rain?', whilst the baby slept at the back of the studio. The Commons

The Commons

19 Apr 2026 - 19 Apr 2026

This event will take place in EartH Theatre. Welcome to The Commons, a live gathering for everyone who's noticed that everything feels a little bit broken, a little too expensive, and a lot on fire. Let’s talk about why, and how we can unite to change things. Hosted by Taskmaster’s Ivo Graham, The Commons is an evening of comedy, music and politics. While the mainstream media and wealthy elites argue that migrants and refugees are the root of all our problems, The Commons will look past the headlines to ask: Why are we getting poorer? Where is the money going? Who benefits from all of this division? Expect comedy from Ivo Graham (our host), Stewart Lee, Blank Peng, and Tadiwah Malunge alongside speakers including Faiza Shaheen (Executive Director of Tax Justice UK), James Meadway (Director of the Progressive Economy Forum), and organisers from ACORN (the renters and community union) with more to be added. The Commons is a space to come together, share ideas, laugh (if only to keep from crying), and go forward from in unity. Change starts with a conversation. Let’s talk. All profits raised will be donated to Asylum Aid and Hackney Migrant Centre. This event will take place in EartH Theatre. With her third album, Where Light Settles, released in May on Gondwana Records, composer, saxophonist, and bandleader Jasmine Myra steps boldly into a new chapter of her evolving artistic journey. Building on the critical acclaim of Horizons (2022) and Rising (2024), this latest release marks a confident and cohesive statement from one of the UK’s most distinctive contemporary voices. Where Light Settles is Myra’s first self-produced album, with Matthew Halsall contributing as producer. Cinematic in scope, her music draws on a love of film scores and emotive storytelling, alongside inspirations ranging from contemporary jazz and folk to the textures of the natural world. Landscapes such as North Wales, the Lake District, and the South Downs inform the album’s tonal palette-echoing its central theme of beauty and intensity coexisting in balance. From the delicate piano-led opening to the sweeping, hopeful title track, Where Light Settles unfolds with a quiet, autumnal glow, its melodies shimmering with clarity and purpose. As Myra continues to gain recognition both in the UK and internationally, this new work signals an artist fully coming into her own, inviting audiences into a deeply felt and vividly imagined sonic landscape.
