What's On @ Strongroom

Osp Presents: Suir (de) + Bloodworm + Colour Me Blood Red
SUIR (de): SUIR hail from Cologne, Germany and create music that offers a glimpse into the abysses of one‘s own being as well as into the depths of the world - but make it cool and in nice shoes. The band´s sound is as versatile as their thoughts: sometimes it drives forward as shoegazy post-punk, sometimes it glides into more ambient, synth-influenced and cinematic excursions. The band plays with a dense wall of sound created by guitars, saturated reverb and delay effects to create these dreamlike soundscapes. Always accompanied by driving drum beats and a striking psych bass sound that gives the guitars a powerful base. The magic of SUIR unfolds particularly well on stage: whether as a duo or a trio, their live shows are like entering a hypnotic dream world. The air literally vibrates with the energy that runs through the dense soundscapes and draws the audience into a maelstrom of sound and emotion. Following the release of their critically acclaimed album NOT ALL OF YOUR PAIN IS SELF CHOSEN on the legendary German label This Charming Man Records, SUIR are already working on their next project—and this spring, they’re bringing their explosive sound to stages across your country. And yes, when they tour, they regularly collect vintage furniture. Why? Because style and art aren’t just for the music—they’re a way of life. BLOODWORM: With a musical palette leaning towards the darker side of post-punk, Bloodworm have been compared to the likes of Bauhaus, The Cure and The Sound among others. Bloodworm burst into 2023 by filling out Rock City’s basement to capacity for Beat The Streets festival followed by sold out debut headline gigs in Manchester and Nottingham. By May 2023 they were opening the legendary Rescue Rooms stage for Dot To Dot festival having already supported Opus Kink and headlined the Shacklewell Arms earlier that month. The second half of the year kept the pace with performances up and down the country with headline slots at various local festivals and an autumn tour with sold out gigs in Sheffield and Manchester. In 2024 Bloodworm supported Shame and sold out a home town gig at Nottingham's Bodega venue and also played the main stage to 2000 people at Rockaway Beach festival in January 2025 and will perform at the prestigious Focus Wales in May 2025. ‘I love it, I absolutely love it. It really is an outstanding track.’ - BBC Introducing ‘The smart money’s on them to be the next band to break nationally’ - Under the Radar HOCKLEY HUSTLE REVIEW ‘A masterful performance’ - Under the Radar DOT TO DOT REVIEW ‘A stand out performance for the day’ - A Lucid Dream DOT TO DOT REVIEW ‘We looked at eachother and said ‘I like this’ - Fresh on the Net ‘The set threw the crowd into a sea of jangle’ - The Mic Magazine COLOUR ME BLOOD RED: Post punk psych noise from South London. Colour Me Blood Red are a b-movie slasher soundtrack with teeth. They conjure psychish krautrock and industrial grooves, mixing in a healthy dose of glam-surf charm. Expect gloriously reverb-drenched noise walls and gutsy fuzz. Presented by Other Side Promotions. This is an 18+ event. This venue has a strict No ID, No entry Policy. Drawing on influences from the early electronic, Autobahn-inspired works of Kraftwerk, and the hypnotic repetition of Krautrock legends Neu! and CAN, as well as contemporary acts like Trans Am, Osees, Rapture, Metz or Cave, ZEMENT have crafted a unique hybrid sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. The rhythms revolve and the synthesizers swirl. Combined with psychedelic fuzzy guitars, cosmic Saxophone sounds, surrealistic vocals and pulsating drums and percussion, this music manufactory brings you a new hot sound with a psych-rock-twist, that you can dance, bang your head and flow away to. The result is an incredibly rich range of sounds that retain a pulsating energy, especially live. Their last records were released by Berlin based quality label CRAZYSANE RECORDS and established ZEMENT as one of the finest contemporary Psych- and Experimental-Rock Acts in Germany at the moment, recognised internationally. Set to take Zement’s exploration of sound even further, a new album (expect more fuzz, more noise, more rIffs) is already in the making. Constant touring in the last couple of years brought them the reputation as an excellent and energetic live band. They found themself on tours through Europe and the UK, where the band shared stages with bands like Russian Circles, Slift or Minami Deutsch and also played tons of club-solo shows. In 2026 the band will come back to the UK and Scandinavia for some concerts and will also play selected club and festival shows in Germany and Europe! The endless meditation on the architecture of mind and the movement of bodies continues! Join us on this journey! Links: Https://www.Instagram.Com/z3m3nt/ Https://crazysanerecords.Com/artists/zement/ Https://www.Youtube.Com/@z3m3nt/videos Highest Primzahl On Mars (DE) Highest Primzahl On Mars is a band from Frankfurt am Main, redefining the boundaries of Space and Krautrock. Since kicking off in 2023, the band has rapidly earned a reputation as one of the most prolific and intense live acts in the German psychedelic scene. The band has documented their passion for free-form playing and extended jams across three releases: Escape From Moronia (2023) Error Not Found (2024) and What??? (2025). While the two guitarists lock into a tight dialogue to weave intricate textures, the whole thing is anchored and pushed forward by a steady, driving pulse of bass and drums. Even though the tracks emerge without any prior planning, they’ve got a remarkable inner logic. Thanks to the deep, almost telepathic connection between the musicians, the jams develop such a natural flow that they often sound like carefully arranged compositions. It’s a collective sonic trip that, despite its spontaneity, never loses its way. It’s a shared experience where the listeners lose track of time and become fellow travelers on an interstellar expedition. Their sound is built on the principle of "Cosmic Mathematics". “With their third album, HIGHEST PRIMZAHL ON MARS have finally established themselves at the top of the German guitar psych and space rock scene.” (Rock Magazin Eclipsed 1/26) Links: Www.Highestprimzahlonmars.De https://www.youtube.com/@HighestPrimzahlOnMars Https://highestprimzahlonmars.Bandcamp.Com/ Https://www.Facebook.Com/highestprimzahlonmarsofficial Https://www.Instagram.Com/highestprimzahlonmars/ Presented by Other Side Promotions. Osp Presents: Firefriend (bra) + Echoes Of Distant Stars
Following two previous sold out London shows for OSP, Other Side Promotions now present the triumphant return of Brazilian psych pioneers Firefriend! With special guests, Echoes Of Distant Stars. Firefriend: Firefriend began shaping their own blend of heavy, hypnotic psychedelia, space rock, and shoegaze when Julia Grassetti and Yury Hermuche met in 2005 in São Paulo, Brazil. Over the following two decades, the band built a reputation for intense live performances and prolific studio output, releasing twelve LPs across the United States and the United Kingdom, with labels Little Cloud Records (US) and Cardinal Fuzz (UK). In 2025 the band completed a six-date England run in support of their latest releases, FUZZ and BLUE RADIATION, which included a headline performance at the London Other Side Psych Weekender. Echoes Of Distant Stars: Echoes of Distant Stars are a Psychedelic Space Rock band from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Formed in early 2025, the band blends influences from kosmiche, prog rock, folk and psych. In parts delicate and melodic, in others heavy and cacophonous, other parts weird and ethereal, the three piece of Alex Johnston (Drums), Tom Astley (Guitar), and Dave Molnar (Bass) have brought to life a panoply of long-form, semi-improvised concept pieces. Debut album ‘Tower of Echoes’ explores two worlds through two all-encompassing 21-minute tracks. Anomos navigates the brutal binaries of a planet of rock and sand, desolate but for the ghosts that hover just above the plains. Archon navigates the dark pathways around the Tower of Echoes, a space in which folk stories, myths and secrets stalk the landscape. Through thundering drums, melodic bass motifs, and whorling fuzz-laden guitar, Echoes of Distant Stars take the listener on a sonic trip through space. The album was released via Weird Beard (UK) and Echodelick Records (US) In 2026, Echoes of Distant Stars have supported Helicon, Myrrors, Dead Sea Apes, Sunset Images and Julie’s Haircut. ATH - Austin Https://wavescrashing.Bandzoogle.Com Scoreboard (NO): The new shoegaze trio scoreboard was formed by members from FOAMMM and Clowder at the end of 2023. The Oslo trio plays noisy and atmospheric shoegaze with drowned vocals, soul-piercing guitars, and laid-back drumming, stylistically reminiscent of bands like Slowdive, The Megaphonic Thrift and They Are Gutting A Body of Water. The band’s first two singles, “ropey rampage” and “rush spells”, have both been recommended and played on radio stations in Norway, the UK, and the US. An EP release is around the corner and a full LP on the way soon too. Norwegian music magazine Gaffa.no hails the group as being at the forefront of Norway’s shoegaze revival, writing about their second single “rush spells”: a soft wall of guitars padded with marshmallows, the ’90s, and electric soundwaves.” The band have played at many various venues around Norway such as Landmark, John Dee, Revolver and Goldie. In august 2025 they played at Øyafestivalen, one of the biggest music festivals in Norway and later that year headlined in London for Other Side Promotions. Eternity is a musical brainchild and a personal project of singer/songwriter Barbora Cihak, who-alongside her successes on the Czech scene-has performed with Alex G, supported Orla Gartland, and reached the finals of Radio Wave’s talent competition. For Barbora, a strong visual identity is essential, and this record offers an intimate glimpse into her deeply personal predictions, fates and prophecies. Their music offers an alternative to painkillers-an invitation into mysticism and transcendent experiences. Formed in 2023, the band features Nathalie Valion (vocals & lyrics), Laurent Gouviaux (guitar & composition), Fabrice Brenchenmacher (guitar & arrangements), Laurent Prost (bass), and Augustin Garnier (drums). In 2024, the band released their debut EP “Catsle Rock.” Six tracks were recorded in April, including a cover of “Shadowplay” as a tribute to Joy Division. Their shoegaze and neo-psychedelic influences (BJM, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Mogwai, Spacemen 3, The Black Angels...) are both clear and deliberate. Guitar riffs and vocals intertwine into swirling layers and immersive soundscapes, driven by a grooving rhythm section. A wall of sound supports delicate, strange, and ethereal voices that reflect an era where the future doesn’t always come without a pill. Production of a new ten-track album ('The Day They Killed Morpheus') began in 2025 and the album is due for release at the end of 2026. The recording, supported by a crowdfunding campaign, took place in September 2025 in Italy under the direction of Paolo Canaglia (New Candys, Glazyhaze). Osp Presents: Hibushibire (jpn) + Black Helium
OSP presents a brilliant night of psychedelia from Japan and the UK! Hibushibire: Formed in Japan in 2012. Hibushibire quickly gained a name for themselves with vigorous live performances mainly in Kobe/Osaka. The band's sound is based on hard psychedelic rock and progressive rock from the late 60s and early 70s, incorporating ethnic elements, drones and many other psychedelic elements, and thoroughly pursuing a psychedelic groove. In 2017 they were taken under the wing of underground guitar legend Makoto Kawabata (Acid Mothers Temple, Mainliner) and recorded their debut album ‘Freak Out Orgasm!’ with him in the producers chair. The band signed with UK label Riot Season records and released the album the same year to much acclaim, then hopped on a plane to tour the UK for the first time, with great success. In 2019 the band released their second album ‘Turn On, Tune In, Freak Out!’ which again met with praise from audiences worldwide. The band returned to the UK once again to tour, including a stunning set at the Raw Power Festival in London. The band then headed home to Japan and the pandemic hit. During this downtime, guitarist/vocalist Changchang decided to create a new power trio. Enter Tetsuji Toyoda (Bass/Vocals) & Aoi Hama (Drums/Vocals). The new trio spent three years writing new music, playing live and honing their sound in Japan, and a short well received tour of Taiwan with Riot Season label mates Dope Purple. In 2023, Hibushibire mark 2 finally emerged into the wider world, now expanded to a quartet the addition of percussionist Kohei Katsuma and released their third album ‘Magical Metamorphosis Third Eye’, their most successful album to date. In 2025 the band released their fourth album, Flashback Stonehenge and once again returned to the UK and also mainland Europe for the first time, creating another legion of new fans. 2026 sees the band release their fifth album ‘Phantom Fuzzy Exotica’, again via Riot Season. The band return to the UK & Europe to support the release in August/September and you can be sure it’s going to be a loud and spectacular live experience as always. Let’s freak out! Osp Presents: The Dharma Chain (aus) + Low Harness
Other Side Promotions present an excellent night of psychedelia from Australian headliners The Dharma Chain, plus special guests Low Harness. The Dharma Chain: Originally from Byron Bay, Australia, The Dharma Chain is a psychedelic rock band formed in 2020 and now based in Berlin. Their sound blends shoegaze, post-punk, and neo-psychedelia with flashes of ’60s rock, featuring distorted, ethereal guitars, reverb-soaked mixed vocals, industrial undertones, and atmospheric synths. After relocating to Berlin, the band signed with Anomic Records & released their debut album NOWHERE in 2022, with a second album 'Some Kind Of Pure State' released on Spinda Records on 5th June 2026. Https://linktr.Ee/thedharmachain Low Harness: A union of four seasoned DIY minds, Low Harness was born in 2023 when members met through working at Penryn DIY hub the Fish Factory Arts Space. With Hannah Gledhill and Martin Pease favouring alternative tunings, it was only a matter of time before they were writing together. Joined by Ed Shellard on drums and Alex Harmer on bass, the record emerged quickly after practising in a friend’s garage, with sonic touchpoints including 90s noise rock, Sonic Youth, Wire, MBV, Glenn Branca, and Einstürzende Neubauten. Their debut album Salvo was released in 2024. Low Harness supported the Manic Street Preachers for two nights in 12 April 2025 at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow.
